Days after Xiaomi announced the launch of its new sub-brand Pocophone, the company unveiled the POCO F1 in New Delhi today.

The phone comes in three variants:

6GB + 64GB – Rs 20,999

6GB + 128GB – Rs 23,999

8GB + 256GB – Rs 28,999

The special Armoured edition is priced at:

8GB + 256GB – Rs 29,999

The only Snapdragon 845 flagship under Rs 20,000 in the world.


The phone goes on sale from 12 PM, 29th August and will be exclusively available on Flipkart and


The smartphone’s software experience is streamlined using MiUI for Poco.


The front camera uses pixel binning in low light to create a super sensitive super pixel.


The 12MP primary rear camera gives you best in the line pictures. Dual pixel autofocus gives you 12 million focus points for quick, precise focus. The phone allows real -time AI-photography. The AI has been specially customised for India after training the algorithm.

The special edition of the phone is made with Kevlar aramid fiber, which is the same material used in bulletproof vests.


The phone will be available in three colour variants:

– Rosso Red

– Graphite Black

– Steel Blue

The device has dual smart power amplifiers, gets loud without distortion.


Now, you can unlock your phone even in the dark, courtesy Infrared Face Unlock, it works less than 4 seconds.


The POCO F1 has top of the line Corning Gorilla Glass, 500nits ultra-bright display and high contrast ratio 1500:1.


The smartphone promises faster network performance, thanks to 4G+ which is built specifically for India.


The top variant of the phone will have this configuration. It’s the ultra fast UFS 2.1 storage, supports icro SD cards up to 256GB.


The device claims to have superior battery life with a powerful 4000mAh battery despite heavy usage.


Despite the huge battery life, the company decided to include QC 3.0 and a compatible charger.


The phone has a unique Liquid Cool technology which can dissipate heat, 300% faster than phones without it. Therefore it is able to sustain higher performance for longer periods.


The phone comes armed with Adreno 630 which enhances performance and improves user experience.


Performance, camera and experience are the three most crucial aspects of a smartphone.


Jai Mani who is the Head of Product at POCO Global says, they wanted to give consumers a phone different from what is available today.


Alvin Tse, Head of POCO Global says that POCO is a small outfit within Xiaomi. Xiaomi has 6 factories in India producing millions of phones per month.


The smartphone aims to become the master of speed and revolutionise the market.

The top of the line armoured edition with kevlar carbon fiber back (Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage) is likely to be priced at Rs 29,999.

The starting price for the 6GB/64GB version may be around Rs 22,999 and the 6GB/128GB version at around Rs 25,999.

The company also announced that e-commerce giant Flipkart will serve as the exclusive online partner for the smartphone.
